WHAT WE CAN AFFORD WITH YOUR DONATION

WHAT WE NEED TO RUN THE SURF SCHOOL

​

  • Trained coaches: Surf instructor licenses need to be renewed and instructors need to be further trained

​

  • Trained female coaches: online surf instructor courses could be done, so that the girls are trained by licensed instructors / an instructor team could come to Ghana to teach the girls

​​

  • Transport: gets the surfer safely to the different surf spots and competitions, and home again

​​

  • Surfboards: the surf school needs at least 20 soft boards and 10 hard boards to be able to run a surf session for all levels 

​​

  • Surfboard shape and repair equipment: for the surf board workshop behind the surf school

​

  • First aid kit, life guard training, first aid training

​​

  • Video footage is necessary to allow video analysis - for individual improvement

WHAT WE NEED ON THINGS BESIDES TO SURFING

  • Passports for international competitions, traveling

​

  • Volunteer work: Providing educative workshops: Education is a key element! It helps children improve their academic performance and formulate their dreams and thus shape their future. We want various people to teach the girls from surfer, to surf board shaper, companies, swimmers, English teachers and many more.  

  • Social Media support

  • Health insurance

​​

  • School supplies: missing education is one of the biggest problems in Ghana. Therefore, various things for school are needed for the girls: uniform, school supplies, books, transportation.

​​

  • Hygiene and menstrual products as well as contraception

​​

  • Team building: going to a local pool or beach games etc.​ ​

​​

  • Swimming courses: We want to teach swimming to more people in Busua, so if we could see the pool at Busua Beach Resort to practice, that would have a huge impact

​

  • Food: each participant surfer can receive a nutritional meal after an exhausting session
